How we work out a price
We work out how long the job will take with the people and gear it needs, add the travel from our base in Gidgegannup, and give you a single price for the whole job. You’re not paying by the hour, so you know the cost up front.
If we find something on the day that nobody could see when we quoted, or you ask for extra work while we’re there, we’ll talk it through and agree the price before doing it.
What changes the price
- Size and number of trees
- Taller, wider trees take longer to cut and produce more to chip.
- What’s underneath
- A tree over a roof, shed or pool comes down piece by piece. The same tree in an open paddock is far quicker.
- Access
- Gates, slopes, soft ground and distance from the track decide how close the chipper gets, and how much carrying there is.
- How much material there is
- More branches means more chipping time, especially for big piles or storm debris.
- What stays and what goes
- Leaving the mulch and firewood on site is quicker than loading it up and taking it away.
- Travel
- Worked out on the distance from Gidgegannup. Jobs in the hills and the Swan Valley have the least built in.
Getting the most accurate quote
Photos make a big difference. When you send the quote form, try to include:
- The whole tree, from far enough back to see the top
- What’s underneath or nearby: the house, sheds, fences, powerlines
- The way in: the gate, driveway or track we’d use
- For piles, something for scale, like a person or a ute
